SmartActive is a new and lasting finish from Schüco for window systems and handles made of aluminium. The purely metallic microsilver that it used is nano-free and cannot penetrate the skin of humans. It provides the kind of long-lasting antimicrobial protection on frames and handles that is in demand particularly in clinics, care homes, kindergartens and public buildings.

Within 24 hours a reduction in germs of at least 99.9 percent is achieved, even in cases of multiresistant bacteria. This protection is verifiable by microbiological testing.
Beneficial for all users is the fact that the ultrapure microsilver that is employed is purely metallic and nano-free, so it can't penetrate human skin. It is non-toxic, harmless to health, is used in medical products and is even certified for natural cosmetics. Compared to standard surfaces and handles from Schüco, with SmartActive there are no visible differences whatsoever. Additionally, working with it is identical to working with conventional Schüco metal construction systems.
