Industry event, Aluminium Talk and Aluminium Conference

At ALUMINIUM 2016, which will take place from 29 November to 1 December 2016 in Düsseldorf, the GDA will be presenting itself at its own exhibition booth (hall 13 / booth K15). There, the GDA will offer information about its services and provide neutral and comprehensive product advice on applications for aluminium. The GDA booth will also act as meeting place where visitors and exhibitors from different industries can exchange information with each other. The GDA has put together an attractive support programme comprised of technical presentations from the “Aluminium Conference” and expert discussions from “Aluminium Talk”, providing an opportunity to exchange views.

Central topics of the GDA at ALUMINIUM 2016 are resource efficiency and lightweight construction. In times of diminishing reserves of raw materials and limited, but in particular expensive energy, the importance of recycling resources and raw materials is constantly increasing. In a country lacking in raw materials like Germany, a supply of primary materials for the production of metal is extremely vital. With the "lightweight construction" megatrend, in particular, aluminium will be increasingly in demand and processed into an array of products, which, at a later date after being used, must be retained in the economic cycle as the valuable resource they represent. The goal of the GDA is to make customers, consumers and politicians more aware of the entire product cycle.

"ALUMINIUM has become a reflection of and dynamic factor of growth in the aluminium industry," says GDA Managing Director, Christian Wellner. "Since its first edition, 19 years ago now, not only has ALUMINIUM become the industry's main event and the world's largest platform for the lightweight material, but production and demand for aluminium have doubled in this same period, too." The GDA is a co-initiator and conceptual partner of ALUMINIUM.
