Library
The GDA library is the largest German library on the subject of aluminium and one of the largest libraries in this specialist field worldwide. The collection of books and articles on the metal goes back to the 1930s.
The library is accessible to the general public and in addition to literature on aluminium it also contains information on magnesium and titanium. The library’s archives contain one of the most extensive collections of information on aluminium – all well documented and edited.

Over 60 national and international specialist journals are regularly evaluated and all articles on and about aluminium are catalogued in an electronic database.
Interested parties from all special fields – employees from the aluminium industry, PhD students, students, schoolchildren and private individuals, can conduct literature searches in the fields of mechanical engineering, transport and transportation, building and construction, and environmental technology either in the library or online.
