Effective 1 November 2011, Luigi Mattina (44), has taken a position on the executive board of Trimet Aluminium AG, Essen. The graduate engineer (Diplom-Ingenieur) with specialization in mechanical engineering, and trained machine fitter, comes from Honsel AG, Meschede. He began there in 2006 as managing director of the plant in Nuremberg, after previous positions at AEG and a career of more than ten years at Alcoa.

As member of the Honsel executive board and COO, since autumn 2010 Mattina was responsible for the company’s production, with its locations in Germany, France, Spain, Mexico and Brazil. At Trimet Mattina will complete the executive board team of Dr. Martin Iffert (chairman), Thomas Reuther and Martin Söffge. With his special expertise in the area of automotive production, he will strengthen and successfully develop mainly this business division at Trimet.
