Dr. Hans-Joachim Bock, Managing Director of Schlenk Metallic Pigments GmbH, has succeeded Gert Rohrseitz, the long-serving chairman of the Metal Powder specialist trade association of GDA - Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V..

After studying chemical engineering and process engineering at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and a further six years conducting research there, Dr Bock joined Schlenk Metallic Pigments GmbH as a project engineer in 1986. Today he is the company’s managing director with responsibility for production, quality assurance, environmental protection and engineering at all of the company’s locations worldwide. He is also a personal member of the Energy/Environment committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Nuremberg.

The member companies of the GDA specialist trade association Metal Powder are mostly organised along the lines of medium-sized companies. Their main markets are the building, chemical and car industries.
