Aluminium balconies with wood appearance
28.06.10 -
A balcony increases the value of a property and an aluminium balcony also offers a high level of value stability and a good cost effectiveness ratio. Compared with steel or concrete balconies, aluminium has the added benefit of good corrosion resistance, which therefore means long-term consequential costs are low. Anyone who places great store by easy maintenance, an elegant appearance, stability and durability gladly chooses aluminium as the material for the balcony. Balconies made of timber are somewhat cheaper and also have an optical appeal all of their own. The Austrian company Leeb based in Gnesau is now offering aluminium balconies with a wood appearance for anyone who places great store by the benefits of aluminium but prefers the appearance of wood.
The company first coats every model with a high-grade surface layer that it has developed itself. This so-called ‘Alu Comfort’ coating prevents exhaust fumes and other environmental influences from adversely affecting the aluminium surface and also makes it more scratch resistant. The maintenance required is reduced drastically and dirt can be simply washed off with (rain)water. This effect is maintained over the whole useful life of the balcony.
Following this treatment, the aluminium balconies and fences are given the desired wood appearance with a special process. Leeb distributes the wood appearance throughout the whole of the lacquer. Besides producing great optical effects, this also guarantees maximum durability and UV stability. This combination of the warm and natural appearance of wood with the superior stability and low maintenance of aluminium is available for every type of balcony.
