Foreign Trade
The aluminium industry is a globally oriented branch of industry with a high export share. In 2010, over 44 per cent of all German production was exported. More than half of the products exported went to other countries in the European Union. Imports’ share of the German domestic market was 42 per cent based on all aluminium products.

Preventing climate change by the use of the right packaging
Looking at the transport of beverage reveals the truth: in contrast to returnable glas bottles, by using aluminium stand-up pouches, one can transport almost twice the amount of beverage using the same transport volume, which reduces emissions dramatically. Aluminium cans have the same advantage in comparison to the heavy glass bottles. They are easily stackable for transport. Due to the increased stacking density, you can transport way more beverage with much less packaging - and that's what counts. After all, the consumer wants the beverage and not the packaging.
